The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Minnesota Wild in a game that will surely put at least one fan to sleep from boredom. Okay, I will stop taking shots at the Wild seeing at their games lack shots. Yes, these jokes will most certainly going to be a bad idea come tonight, but I deserve a chance to get them all out.

The Jets have struggled to generate sustained offence in their first two games and they are hoping to stop that trend tonight against the Wild. They are likely without Blake Wheeler who had to enter COVID protocol yesterday. There are many reasons he could be there and hopefully he is able to exit it fairly quickly and no one in his household is sick. Personal and family health above hockey.

The Wild will always be the Wild. I don’t care how much offence they trade for or sign, they can never become an offensive team. There is a law somewhere that makes it illegal. To be honest, having not seen them play for over a year, I do not know what to expect so here’s to hoping they became more interesting in that time apart.

Now, it is time to see our old friends again.
