The Winnipeg Jets and New Jersey Devils are playing tonight in their first game this season. The Jets are coming off of a series of good games even if there was a loss in there. They’ve been playing well and are getting rewarded.
The Devils have a near identical record to the Jets and are one of the younger teams in the NHL. With young players like Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, they have been a team on the rise for a while. Their goaltending is not as solid as it once was, but having a goalie who isn’t consistently hurt is a bonus.
Expect to have Connor Hellebuyck in net, but Laurent Brossoit should play a game in the near future as it is important to keep both goalies focused and in Hellebuyck’s case, fresh.
