Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Minnesota Wild

Time: 3:00 PM CST
Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are playing on a Saturday, but once again it will not be an evening game. They will play their divisional rival, the Minnesota Wild, at 3:00 PM this afternoon. The Wild will be without Matt Dumba, who is out injured. Both teams will be playing their second game after Christmas so you should anticipate some sloppy play early on.

Andrew Copp will be in the lineup again with a tinted visor. While he rightfully told the team when something was off, he should not be playing if he needs the tinted visor to handle the lights. The Jets have plenty of good players who can fill in until he is 100% healthy.

As for the Wild, they are the same as they will ever be. They are without the aforementioned Dumba which is a hit to their blueline. The Wild will probably start Devan Dubnyk and the Jets Connor Hellebuyck. Dubnyk has been an average goalie this year and should be beatable by the Jets. Meanwhile, Hellebuyck has not looked like he did last year when these two teams played in the playoffs. This game is more of a toss-up than it should be, but the Jets are the stronger team and should prevail.
