With the 77th overall pick in the draft, the Winnipeg Jets have selected Danny Zhilkin from the Guelph Storm. Danny is one of the more intriguing selections, bringing a versatile toolset that can be deployed in all situations. He has a solid defensive game married to good spatial awareness and decision-making. His decent skating, well-rounded passing, and good shot give him the tools to carve out a quality depth role at the NHL level. Zhilkin will have some work to do to get his game up to pro-level speed, but the foundation is relatively strong. He projects to fall somewhere into a 3rd or 4th line role.
