Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Dallas Stars

Time: 7:30 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars are pretty close in the standings with the Jets being slightly ahead of the Stars. They are both strong teams vying for a top three finish in the division along with the Colorado Avalanche. These games in particular are rather important for the Jets because they are six point games. The Jets will want to perform well tonight after a relaxing day at the Dallas Cowboys game yesterday.

The Jets will have to play better than they have been in recent games where they have been fine, but not much more than that. Fine cane win games, but it can also lose games as the Jets are learning and that is something they have to deal with soon. While the Jets do not always look the greatest and clearly miss Nikolaj Ehlers especially, they seem to be in a better place mentally which should help them stop any potential slides they go on.

The Stars are led by Jason Robertson who missed part of training camp due to not having a contract. He now has 31 points in 20 games. They are also getting strong goaltending from Jake Oettinger. The Jets will have to find a way to counter the Stars higher scoring ways. If they can do that, they should be in good shape at the end of the game.
