The Winnipeg Jets are learning firsthand just how crucial Nikolaj Ehlers is to this team. The Jets are currently getting curbstomped by the Oilers 6-1, so yeah, fun times! This is the squad they’ll be playing in the post-season. If they have to do it without Ehlers for any stretch of the series, winning even 1 game will be a monumental task. The injury appears to stem from a hit Nik took from Jake Muzzin. The team is hopeful he’ll be back by the playoffs, but nothing is definitive as of yet. I’m honestly worried enough with the remaining regular season games, and Ehlers’ absence is going to be an impossible void to fill.
