Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Time: 6:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets are expecting to welcome Blake Wheeler back to the fold tonight as they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs are going through a slump as their goalies are who we thought they were and not riding high on crazy win streaks that were unsustainable. But what do I know about a goalie going on a hot streak.

Jamie Benn will make his debut for the Jets tonight after finishing his quarantine period. Unless something wild changes, he will debut on the third pair with Dylan DeMelo. Logan Stanley will come out of the lineup to allow for this. Stanley has been fairly strong in his time with the team and much like Ville Heinola would benefit from playing every game, although he has played a lot more than Heinola.

As for the Leafs, they will be up to their same old shenanigans. Zach Hyman might be out with a knee injury that came from an incident with Alex Edler. That helps the Jets. The Leafs are also coming off of two tough games against the Vancouver Canucks in which they lost to a team still recovering from COVID-19. It has not been an ideal month for them.

The Jets and Leafs play another 6:00 PM game. The game will end when it is still light out and it is supposed to be beautiful outside today. So watch the game and then go for a nice walk.
