Drafted in the first round, 29th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, Green has 501 points (150G, 351A) in 880 games, as well as 37 points (10G, 27A) in 76 playoff games, for Washington (2005/06-2014/15), Detroit (2015/16-partway through 2019/20), and Edmonton (part of 2019/20). Green has career highs of 76 points and 57 assists in 2010, and 31 goals in 2009, all for Washington. Green was named a first-team All-Star in 2009 and 2010 with Washington, and played in two All-Star Games, representing Washington in 2011 and Detroit in 2018. Green, 34, finished his final season with 11 points (3G, 8A) in 50 games as he was traded from Detroit to Edmonton.
