The Winnipeg Jets are back at it again hosting the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. It is a Roger’s Hometown Hockey night tonight which means two days of seeing Ron McLean cold outside instead of inside the studio. The Jets will be looking for a repeat performance from yesterday where they were damn good against the Ottawa Senators.

The Blackhawks went on a little run recently and moved up the standings a bit, but they have moved back down the the bottom of the Western Conference. It will be another important game for the Jets to show they are not one of the bottom teams in the league.

As for the Jets, they will want to build off of their success from yesterday’s win. Patrik Laine scored a hat trick without one of his patented shots from the face-off dots which shows growth. The rest of the Jets had fairly solid games minus one ergarious give away from Neal Pionk. It happens, but it was really, really bad.

Expect Connor Hellebuyck to play tonight and face off against Corey Crawford after facing Robin Lehner the last time they played. Lehner was exceptional in that game so this might work out for the Jets yet.
