GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs New York Rangers

The Winnipeg Jets are back home for three games, beginning with the New York Rangers

NHL: Winnipeg Jets at New York Rangers Dennis Schneidler-USA TODAY Sports

Introduction:

Nikolaj Ehlers remains out of the line up tonight against the New York Rangers, but coach Paul Maurice shared that he’s close to being able to return to full practice. It will be interesting to see who takes a spot in the press box when Ehlers returns. Dmitry Kulikov is out for at least one more game, and it looks like Joe Morrow is in again, not Sami Niku, as most of the fan base was hoping for. Niku was sent down to the Manitoba Moose earlier today.

The Rangers have been playing better lately and are coming off a big win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tonight they enter one of the toughest arenas for road teams in the NHL, the Bell MTS Centre. This is crunch time. The Jets need to “sweep the leg” tonight, and defeat an inferior opponent.
