Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks signed defenceman Luca Sbisa to a one-year contract. They acquired defenceman Erik Gudbranson.

Arizona Coyotes

The Coyotes made no moves this week.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins recalled left winger Anders Bjork from AHL Providence on an emergency basis. They reassigned Bjork following an emergency recall. They recalled Bjork on an emergency basis. Defenceman Paul Postma, who last played in the NHL for Boston in 2017/18, has signed in Switzerland with the National League A’s HC Lugano.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres reassigned goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to AHL Rochester. They recalled defenceman William Borgen.

Calgary Flames

The Flames recalled centre Alan Quine from AHL Stockton and reassigned defenceman Oliver Kylington. They recalled Kylington and reassigned Quine. They recalled Quine. Defenceman Andrew MacDonald, who was in training camp this fall with Calgary, has signed in Switzerland with the National League A’s SC Bern.

Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes made no moves this week.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks recalled centre Kirby Dach from his conditioning stint with AHL Rockford. They acquired defenceman Ian McCoshen from Florida. They reassigned McCoshen. They recalled defenceman Dennis Gilbert.

Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche made no moves this week.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets reassigned left winger Markus Hannikainen to AHL Cleveland.

Dallas Stars

The Stars reassigned centre Rhett Gardner and defenceman Joel Hanley to AHL Texas. They recalled Hanley.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings recalled right winger Evgeny Svechnikov from AHL Grand Rapids and reassigned defenceman Alex Biega. They recalled Biega and reassigned defenceman Jonathan Ericsson. They recalled right winger Givani Smith.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers recalled centre Sam Gagner from AHL Bakersfield and reassigned centre Gaeten Haas. They reassigned defenceman Logan Day. Right winger Ty Rattie has been released from his contract with the KHL’s Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Florida Panthers

The Panthers signed centre Brian Boyle to a one-year contract. They reassigned centre Henrik Borgstrom to AHL Springfield. They acquired centre Aleksi Saarela from Chicago. They reassigned Saarela. Left winger Jamie McGinn, who last played in the NHL for Florida from 2017/18 to 2018/19, has signed a professional tryout contract with AHL Charlotte.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings made no moves this week.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild recalled centre Gabriel Dumont from AHL Iowa. They recalled goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen on an emergency basis.

Montreal Canadiens

The Canadiens made no moves this week. Defenceman Andrei Markov, who played in the NHL for Montreal from 2000/01 to 2016/17, has signed a professional tryout contract in Russia with the KHL’s Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Nashville Predators

The Predators signed left winger Egor Afanasyev to a three-year entry-level contract. They recalled centres Miikka Salomaki and Yakov Trenin and reassigned left winger Daniel Carr. They signed centre Philip Tomasino to a three-year entry-level contract. They reassigned Trenin.

New Jersey Devils

The Devils made no moves this week.

New York Islanders

The Islanders made no moves this week.

Defenceman Dennis Seidenberg has retired from pro hockey. Drafted in the sixth round, 172nd overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Seidenberg has 251 points (44G, 207A) in 859 games, as well as 21 points (3G, 18A) in 69 playoff games, for Philadelphia (2002/03-partway through 2005/06), Phoenix (partway through 2005/06-partway through 2006/07), Carolina (partway through 2006/07-2008/09), Florida (part of 2009/10), Boston (partway through 2009/10-2015/16), and the Islanders (2016/17-2017/18). His career-highs of 32 points, in 2010 and 2011 with Boston, seven goals in 2011 with Boston, and 28 assists in 2010 with Boston. Seidenberg reached his peak in his late 20s at the turn of the decade, with three straight 30+point seasons, a jump from under 19 minutes per night to over 22, and a Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011. Decreasing point totals and injury issues reduced his effectiveness from there, leading to him leaving the Bruins in 2016. He would play his last legitimate season in the NHL in 2016/17, scoring 22 points (5G, 17A) in 73 games for the Islanders. In his last season, 2017/18, he scored five assists in 28 games. Seidenberg, 38, re-signed with the Islanders as a free agent in February to close the 2018/19 season, but played no games, and opted to retire after not getting a contract almost a month into 2019/20.

New York Rangers

The Rangers made no moves this week.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators reassigned left winger Jordan Szwarz to AHL Belleville. They recalled centre JC Beaudin. They recalled centre Logan Brown. Right winger Magnus Paajarvi, who last played in the NHL for Ottawa from 2017/18 to 2018/18, has signed a two-year contract in Russia with the KHL’s Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers recalled left winger Joel Farabee and centre Mikhail Vorobyev from AHL Lehigh Valley and reassigned left winger Carsen Twarynski.

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins reassigned defenceman Zach Trotman to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for conditioning purposes. They acquired right winger Andreas Martinsen and a 2021 seventh-round pick from Anaheim. They reassigned Martinsen.

San Jose Sharks

The Sharks recalled centre Noah Gregor from AHL San Jose. They reassigned left winger Lean Bergmann. They recalled right winger Jonny Brodzinski and defenceman Trevor Carrick. They signed left winger Dillon Hamaliuk.

St. Louis Blues

The Blues reassigned centre Jordan Kyrou to AHL San Antonio.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Lightning reassigned left winger Daniel Walcott to AHL Syracuse.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs made no moves this week.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks reassigned centre Adam Gaudette to AHL Utica. Centre Ryan Spooner, who last played in the NHL for Vancouver last season, has had his contract rights sold by the Swiss National League A’s HC Lugano to the KHL’s Dinamo Minsk.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights recalled centre Nicolas Roy from AHL Chicago. They reassigned defenceman Zach Whitecloud. They reassigned defenceman Nicolas Hague. They recalled Hague and goaltender Garret Sparks and reassigned goaltender Oscar Dansk.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals made no moves this week.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets claimed defenceman Luca Sbisa off waivers from Anaheim.
