Preview: Winnipeg Jets versus Nashville Predators

Time: 8:30 PM CST

Channel: CBC, SN360, TVAS, NBCSN

Radio: TSN1290

Game six. The Winnipeg Jets can win their second series in franchise history tonight if they win the game. It is that simple. But one does not simply beat the Nashville Predators. The Predators have enough fire power to beat the Jets, but only if they get a bounce back game from their defence and Pekka Rinne.

A word about Rinne: talking with fans of other teams, it is clear that Rinne might be a problem for the Predators. They clearly outplayed the Pittsburgh Penguins and yet they lost because of goaltending. The Jets have not looked good for long stretches of this series and yet they are ahead because Rinne has struggled for many games. Even the games the Jets lost he has not been great in. This should be a growing concern for the Predators as it could cost them a Stanley Cup and probably has already.

Outside of Rinne, if the Jets want to win tonight they need to make better passes and continue to play like they did in the latter stages of game five. They really came alive and were able to find their legs. Now with last change and a healthy lineup, or as healthy as it can be right now, the Jets should take full advantage of last change and try and dictate the game in as many facets as possible.

Prediction:

A loss sadly as I am writing the recap and I am 0-2 this round.
