Game Four Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild

Game Time: 7:00 PM CST

Channel: Sportsnet/TVAS2, CNBC

Radio: TSN1290

The real important game in any series is game four. Until then teams are trading blows and this game four is no reason. The Winnipeg Jets have had three uneven games where they have had dominant runs with the play. In the third game, the Jets looked to be running around a bit too much and not focusing on using their skill to neutralize the Minnesota Wild as much as they did in game two.

The Jets need a bounce back game from Connor Hellebuyck and the defence as a whole. While Hellebuyck was not great, there were a lot of self-screens that made it hard for the goalie to see where the puck was. If the Jets want to improve, the easiest thing to do would be to make sure that Hellebuyck has clear sight lines.

The second step for the Jets is to cut out the bad penalties. They are good when they have some physicality in their game, but they went overboard on Sunday night and it hurt them. They need to toe the line and not do stupid things like retaliate against players as the retaliation always gets called.

Key Stats:

Save Percentage:

Connor Hellebuyck- 0.847

Devan Dubnyk- 0.922

Penalty Kill:

Winnipeg Jets- 62.5%

Minnesota Wild- 80%

Prediction:

I refuse to make a real prediction until I see the lines so instead I will say that Paul Romanuk will yell a lot and Garry Galley will talk about hitting until the end of time.
