The Winnipeg Jets are playing a rare Sunday afternoon game against the struggling Philadelphia Flyers. They Flyers are the odd team that has fired their general manager, but not their head coach. The change in general manager, Chuck Fletcher was announced as the replacement last week, has not changed the luck of the Flyers.

The Jets are not without their struggles, but they have been admirably surviving without many key players and it looks like they have pulled through with Josh Morrissey returning meaning the Jets will have all defencemen on deck with the exception of Joe Morrow. This most likely means the departure of Sami Niku who has started to look more comfortable in the NHL.

The Flyers will be without the services of Sean Couturier as he recovers from the mysterious lower-body injury. They will however, have the services of Andrew MacDonald who one fan has been trying to peddle to every team for years. Outside of MacDonald, the Flyers should have a decent team, but they cannot seem to find the right formula to win...or have a goalie stay healthy enough for that to be achieved. It’s a circle and they need to be able to get off of it.
