GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs. New York Islanders

The injured New York Islanders are playing the injured Winnipeg Jets in Winnipeg in a battle of the injured teams. The Jets are looking to stay on a winning track without Mark Scheifele. They are jumbling their lines to accommodate his absence, but have not made a call-up yet.

The Islanders are suffering from a lack of Calvin de Haan on the blueline. Jaroslav Halak is their goalie again and he can have good games, even though he is not seen as an elite guy. The guy that everyone should be watching for is Matthew Barzal, the Islanders second line centre. Drafted with the first round pick that the Islanders got from the Edmonton Oilers for Griffin Reinhart. That trade is almost as good as Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart for Rich Peverely and Boris Valabik.
