Scott Kosmachuk Recalled

Scott Kosmachuk, the second year pro in the AHL, has been recalled by the Winnipeg Jets on an emergency basis. This means that one of the 12 forwards that the Jets have up right now is hurt and they need someone to fill out their lineup. It is hard to say how Kosmachuk is doing in the AHL this year because everyone is struggling to do anything with the Manitoba Moose. What is good news is the Jets seem to be open to evaluating young players when injuries happen and different ones at that. With the amount of emergency call ups they have been making it would be interesting to see if they decide to use two of their four recalls after the deadline to take AHL players on the road with them so that the team is not scrambling to get to 20 players for a game.

EDIT

Joel Armia appears to be the injured Jet. Maurice says he will be out at least a week with a lower body injury. #ArmiaLeg
