Great to have you back in Chicago @aladd16!
— Jonathan Toews (@JonathanToews) February 26, 2016
In case you've been living under a rock without any sort of communication device or wifi signal the past 48 plus hours, Andrew Ladd and pieces were traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for Marko Dano and a couple of picks just prior to the Jets' game against the Dallas Stars. Easily a good move for both clubs, but rather than Ladd going for the Cup again, maybe Dano is the lucky one in this deal. After all, he gets to spread his wings on a club that will certainly give him every opportunity to show us what he has to offer. Once the trade dust had settled, the Jets came out and responded well after loosing their captain, netting 6 goals on strong performances by Joel Armia, Mark Scheifele and others, and beat the Stars 6-3. The Jets may not be done looking for more talent, as the trade deadline is Monday Feb. 29th at 2 pm CST, so we may see a few more moves. In the meantime, there is a game to be played, and it's an afternoon affair against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Pens are coming off a 5-1 drubbing against the Boston Bruins, and are looking to finish off with a win in a month of so-so hockey. As an added bonus, our newest Jet will be in the lineup.
#NHLJets fans, give a welcome to @Marko_Dano! https://t.co/Cyw9lXgayk
