Anaheim

The Ducks re-signed winger Devante Smith-Pelly to a two-year contract worth $1.6M. Notable players with NHL experience attending Ducks training camp are centre David Steckel, winger Steve MacIntyre, forward Brad Winchester, forward Brandon Yip, and defenceman Brendan Bell.

Arizona

The Coyotes added former Buffalo head coach Ron Rolston and Jim Roque to their pro scouting staff. Joining the Coyotes’ training camp roster on a PTO is former Florida enforcer Krys Barch.

Boston

The Bruins invited two NHL-experienced players to training camp on PTOs: winger Bracken Kearns, who set career highs in games, goals, assists, and points with San Jose last year, and defenceman Steve Eminger, who was signed last month by the Bruins’ farm team in Providence.

Buffalo

The Sabres made no major moves this week.

Calgary

The Flames made no major moves this week.

Carolina

The Hurricanes made no major moves this week. Winger Aaron Palushaj, who last played in the NHL for the Hurricanes, signed in Russia with the KHL’s Medvescak Zagreb.

Chicago

The Blackhawks invited defenceman Cam Barker to training camp on a PTO. Barker was drafted third overall by Chicago in 2004 and scored 40 points in 68 games in 2008/09. He has performed poorly in the NHL since then, being traded to Minnesota, bought out, signed then released by Edmonton, and signed then released by Vancouver.

Colorado

The Avalanche hired now-retired defenceman Brett Clark as a player development consultant.

Columbus

The Blue Jackets made no major moves this week.

Dallas

The Stars invited defenceman Derek Meech to training camp on a PTO.

Detroit

The Red Wings re-signed defenceman Danny DeKeyser to a two-year contract worth $4.375M. They also invited defenceman Aaron Rome to training camp on a PTO.

Edmonton

The Oilers invited winger Kevin Westgarth to training camp.

Florida

The Panthers made no major moves this week.

Los Angeles

The Kings made no major moves this week.

Minnesota

The Wild re-signed goaltender Darcy Kuemper to a two-year contract worth $2.5M. They also invited goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov to training camp on a PTO. After suffering a foot injury in an altercation with a teammate, goaltender Josh Harding has been suspended by the franchise.

Montreal

The Canadiens have invited defenceman Joe Finley and centre Jake Dowell to training camp on PTOs. Rather than name a captain, they have named centre Tomas Plekanec, winger Max Pacioretty, and defencemen Andrei Markov and PK Subban alternates.

Nashville

The Predators invited defenceman Brian Lee to training camp on a PTO.

New Jersey

The Devils re-signed defenceman Eric Gelinas to a one-year contract worth $900K. They also made another slew of training camp invites. wingers Jordin Tootoo (from Detroit) and Ruslan Fedotenko (from overseas), and defencemen Mike Komisarek (from Carolina) and Renat Mamashev (from overseas).

NY Islanders

The Islanders invited forward Colton Gillies to training camp on a PTO.

NY Rangers

The Rangers invited centre Ryan Potulny to training camp on a PTO.

Ottawa

The Senators invited winger Nick Palmieri to training camp on a PTO.

Philadelphia

The Flyers invited forward Darroll Powe to training camp on a PTO.

Pittsburgh

The Penguins unveiled a new third jersey, their Lemieux-era gold uniforms.

San Jose

The Sharks signed defenceman Justin Braun to a five-year extension worth $19M.

St. Louis

The Blues invited winger Paul Bissonnette and defenceman Ryan Whitney to training camp on PTOs. Bissonnette was expected to sign with Washington, but it didn’t happen. Whitney attended Blues camp last fall before his shortended season with Florida.

Tampa Bay

The Lightning made no major moves this week.

Toronto

The Maple Leafs invited winger Spencer Machacek to training camp on a PTO.

Vancouver

The Canucks invited winger J.T. Wyman to training camp on a PTO.

Washington

The Capitals made no major moves this week.

Winnipeg

The Jets invited goaltender Danny Taylor to training camp on a PTO. Taylor briefly supplanted Leland Irving as Calgary’s backup during Miikka Kiprusoff’s injury during 2012/13. Winger Antti Miettinen, who last played in the NHL for the Jets in 2011/12 and 2012/13, signed in Germany with the DEL’s Eisbaren Berlin. Forward James Wright, who last played in the NHL for the Jets in 2012/13 and 2013/14, signed in Russia with the KHL’s Medvescak Zagreb.
