GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs Colorado Avalance

New, comments

After a demoralizing loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Winnipeg Jets are back in action versus the Colorado Avalanche

Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY Sports

Avalanche vs Jets coverageIn an afternoon matinee, the Winnipeg Jets are talking on the Colorado Avalanche to see who will not be last in ConferenceIII. The Jets are coming off of a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, where they outshot the Lightning significantly, but lost the neutral zone/2 on 1 battle handily. As you will.

The game is on TSN3.

What to Watch for:

The fourth lines ice time outside of the penalty kill. They have been barely playing and a non-existent fourth line can render your top 9 tired. They should be able to give a team about 10 minutes of reliable hockey. Mind you, a fourth line of Thorburn/Slater/Halischuk may find this hard. Patrice Cormier was called up and may draw in but who knows.

Player to Boo Mercilessly:

Semyon Varlamov, for many reasons. But mainly because I just don't like him.
