The losses on the road, especially against weaker teams such as the Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens (twice), hurt more than anything. The Jets’ road record is 12-21-4, compared with 23-12-4 at home. Noel said repeatedly during the season that Winnipeg would need at least a .500 record on the road to make the playoffs.
