The Winnipeg Jets are trying to keep their streak going against the Philadelphia Flyers on Hockey Night in Canada. The Jets have been cruising along thanks to Saxophone Squirtle and excellent play. The Jets will be without Mark Scheifele tonight due to a lower body injury. Reading between the lines it is an injury that Scheifele could play through, but thanks to the Jets play he is able to rest and not play injured.

The Flyers have been better than expected this season and are third in their division. They are also on a two game win streak. While the Jets have been rolling, they are playing with injuries and the Flyers will have the ability to take advantage of first line centre Adam Lowry. Now, nothing against Lowry, but him as a first line centre does not seem like a smart approach. He is someone who isn’t offensive enough to be counted on for offence on a regular basis. Hopefully Scheifele is back next game and all of this is for not.

The Flyers are solid up front and solid, if not very Philadelphia, on the backend. They have Carter Hart in goal who seems to have picked up his play from previous seasons and is somehow still only 25. It seems like he has been around forever and a day. The Flyers are also coming off of a game last night in Minnesota. They are not rested and if the Jets get a jump on them early, they could put them away.
