The Winnipeg Jets and Philadelphia Flyers are playing in Winnipeg tonight for the second game against each other in the month of January. The Jets will be looking at building more consistency in their play after an uneven few games. Dips in play are expected throughout the season, but the Jets are going to want to go into what is close to a two week break following their game on Tuesday against St. Louis.

The Jets best way back to their winning ways might be going back to the lines they were using prior to this little slide in play. The top line of Kyle Connor, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Nikolaj Ehlers was dominant first line. While all the other lines needed some sorting out, the bones were there for a good forward group. The defence has also regressed recently with Dylan Samberg being sat for the now healthy Logan Stanley. The Jets clearly think Stanley is a top six defenceman, probably based on internal data. However, Samberg is back in the lineup as Dylan DeMelo is out due to injury. This will further test the Jets as Neal Pionk is on a pairing with Josh Morrissey.

The Flyers are the Flyers which means they are a joy if you are not a fan of them. They do crazy things and make wild decisions while having enough entertaining players to keep watching them. The Jets had a close game on the score board with them last time they played, but prevailed in the end. Time to try to do it again.
