The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Edmonton Oilers, a team that has struggled immensely to start the year thanks in no small part to the terrible goaltending they have been getting. Their defence also has not been strong so good luck with that. Also McDavid is not longer putting up three points a night. Yeah this could end up being a long season for the Oilers.

That is not to say that the Jets have been having a better start to their season. They have also been struggling to win games and allowing more goals than normal. In short, this will be a game between two teams with obvious weaknesses, but also obvious offensive skills. We could end up with some fire-wagon hockey if we are not careful which would be fun for the late game on Hockey Night in Canada.

This game has all the makings of a game that could fall into complete chaos to the benefit of no one. The Jets are going to want to keep penalties to a minimum while the Oilers will want to use their speed, specifically McDavid’s speed, against the Jets less than mobile defence. Josh Morrissey will have his work cut out for him.

The Jets will be wanting more of Nikolaj Ehlers who missed a chunk of training camp and pre-season with neck spasms. Hopefully he is back to himself quickly as the Jets need what makes Ehlers so effective for them at 100% as soon as possible. His combination of speed and puck skills helps the Jets immensely when it comes to generating offence and zone entries. Give him back to us and soon.

Anyways, this game has the potential to be hilarious, but both teams need two points, it is a national game, and the other team is the Edmonton Oilers. There are so many hilarious ways this could go.
