The Winnipeg Jets are meeting their equal in the division in the Dallas Stars as they look to get back to their winning ways. (Please note I was entirely too positive about the Jets on Sunday, so back to my pessimistic ways). The Jets will be in tough against the talented Dallas Stars who feature Jason Robertson. Thankfully, Robertson does not seem to be as scary as he was last year, but we all know how that can change on a dime.

The Jets can counter Robertson with Kyle Connor who somehow already has 14 goals on the season. Forget what people say about him being bad at defence. Who cares if he is because he scores goals which is incredibly hard in the NHL. I love possession drivers more than some, but I will not overlook a skilled goalscorer because he is bad at defence. Instead, embrace the goal scoring and the chaos that being bad at defence brings.

I do not think the NHL’s standings have been updated for a while since the Jets game against the Predators is not listed. I believe the Stars are currently ahead of the Jets in the standings because of the last game so this game is important. The Jets will most likely be starting Connor Hellebuyck especially with a couple days off after and Hellebuyck getting a rest against the Preds. Now if only the rest of the team shows up to start the game…
