The Winnipeg Jets and Florida Panthers are playing this afternoon. Prior to the game I would like to offer a quick correction: Spencer Knight is currently playing in the AHL as he prepares to return to the NHL. Everything else I said about his situation this morning stands.

The Panthers have more former Jets than just head coach Paul Maurice. Kevin Stenlund and Dmitry Kulikov are both on the team. The Panthers appear to be fairly beat up on defence with many key players out. This should be a boon for the Jets who, like all teams, will be looking to take advantage of the Panthers misfortune.
