Andrew Copp draws in to the lineup for Marko Dano, who Maurice says is likely out for 8 weeks with LBI. #NHLJets

Marko Dano is out for the next eight weeks with a lower-body injury. This is a blow to the Winnipeg Jets because while not a big scorer, Dano is highly capable of pushing the play in the right direction and helping the team play more in the offensive zone.
Losing Dano to injured reserve means that Andrew Copp has been recalled by the team and according to Paul Maurice he will be playing tonight in Dano’s place. This is good for Copp who was sent down to the Manitoba Moose on December 27 when the Jets had to reduce their roster by two and went for the two players who do not need waivers in Copp and Brandon Tanev. On the other hand, this is bad news for Alex Burmistrov and Chris Thorburn who have both been healthy scratched the past few games and seem to be no closer to returning to the lineup than before Dano got injured.
