This is Groundhog Day. The Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames are playing each other again at the same time and the same place. Are we in the movie Groundhog Day? It is really hard to say, but this season is already starting to feel like a bunch of Groundhog Days strung together.
The Jets are still working on stringing together a full game. This sounds like a broken record and it is because I think I have been writing this for literally years now. The Jets are really great at having these absolutely terrible periods where they let the other team dominate them, after the game they say they cannot do that and expect to win, and then go out and do it again the next game. It feels like years since they have put together a complete game.
The Jets only lost in the shut out last night, but it is their repeated struggles that are a concern to many people. The repeated struggles that have gone on for seasons and the team has been underachieving because of those underlying issues. Anyways, it is Groundhog Day and we are living it in every sense of the phrase this year.
