GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames

THE GAME IS ONLY ON SPORTSNET WEST AND PACIFIC

In another miscalculated disaster (it is easy to lose track of time when burritos are involved) there will be no roster updates. However, the Calgary Flames will be playing seven defencemen as Sean Monahan is out with the flu. The Winnipeg Jets are not expected to make any lineup changes tonight.

The Jets are also expected to have Joe Morrow available in the immediate future as he has taken off his no-contact jersey for practices. He stayed out for extra work today at the morning skate.

The Jets will be starting Connor Hellebuyck who will be looking to build off of a big win against the Boston Bruins on Thursday. The Flames will be countering with Mike Smith who has a penchant for making some interesting decisions when playing the puck.

Watch out for Mikael Backlund who is everything to the Flames. Also keep an eye on the crafty Johnny Gaudreau.

For the Jets, Patrik Laine decided he should start exploring his passing side and Mark Scheifele decided to remain awesome. Sami Niku has continued playing well, especially considering how little he has played this season because of call-ups.
