Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Anaheim Ducks

Time: 6:00 PM

Channel: SportsnetWest, Sportsnet360

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets look to build off their win against the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight against the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks have struggled this year and are on a 2-6-2 stretch of games, but they have John Gibson and he is a very good goalie. He is also the only reason that the Ducks have any wins this year.

As for the Jets, they played better against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but they still have not looked like they are playing their best hockey. Patrik Laine will hopefully score at some point, Dustin Byfuglien will hopefully be back soon (has he even skated with the team yet?), and Nikolaj Ehlers will also hopefully return in a couple weeks. It is not doom and gloom in Jets-land in the month lead up to the Trade Deadline.

Players to Watch:

Mark Scheifele is always on a hot streak and the aforementioned John Gibson will hopefully not be up to the task of stopping him,

Writer’s Note:

Apologies for the weird schedule last week. I was barely functioning with a cold and was often times unable to even think of having to write something about the Jets, let alone co-ordinate it.
