The Winnipeg Jets are back from the Christmas break and will hopefully be in good spirits to play the St. Louis Blues tonight. They have Patrik Laine scoring goals like he is really good at it (he is) as well as the rest of the top six forwards breaking out and scoring lots. This is a good thing as the Jets defence is struggling a lot this year. They are without some key players and it is starting to show. It is hard to say if the Jets will be able to bounce back from this loss of defenders, but it would be nice if they could.
It is with the defence where the Jets issues might be coming from. They have been inconsistent of late with playing well in one game and poorly in the next game. The Jets played poorly against the Montreal Canadiens, so the laws of their play should be much better tonight against their divisional rivals and current Stanley Cup Champions.
Prediction
I really don’t know what to think about the Jets anymore. They can have a really great game and then a really bad game. Will this game be the re-set or not?
