Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Vancouver Canucks

Time: 7:00 PM CST

Television: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets will be playing the surprising Vancouver Canucks tonight. The Canucks are on the second half of a back to back as they played last night and then travelled to Winnipeg.

The Jets will feature a new look up front as Blake Wheeler is now the team’s second line centre with Bryan Little on the mend after taking a slap shot to the head. He is home recovering from a perforated ear drum and vertigo.

Wheeler at centre seems like a good idea, but he struggled there when he first made the move a couple seasons ago. While his counting stats were good, his underlying were not and it became a bit of an issue for the team. Wheeler moving to centre breaks him and Mark Scheifele up. Scheifele is now on a line with Kyle Connor and Patrik Laine who is playing the right wing position.

The Canucks will have the always dangerous Elias Petterson and Quinn Hughes is back to full health after missing a few games. There is also Bo Horvat. Most importantly, Tyler Myers is making his return to Winnipeg after leaving to free agency this summer. Bless the Canucks for giving him so much money.

Prediction

Tyler Myers becomes Bobby Orr for a moment, but then remembers he is not Bobby Orr and Connor Hellebuyck stops him.
