Hello daytime my old friend, I hate to talk to you again.
Afternoon games are the worst. They break up the basic rhythm of the day and make it impossible to get done what you need to get done if you have things to do. Anyways, enough complaining about the afternoon game and time to start talking about the afternoon game.
The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Dallas Stars in a game that might have Wild Card spot implications down the line, but it is unlikely that it will have implications beyond that. The Jets are where they are thanks to the strong play of Connor Hellebuyck. Hellebuyck has bounced back from his uneven play last season to be extremely strong this year. I shudder to think of where they would be without him.
As for the Dallas Stars: I do not know what plagues them, but they are in a worse position than the Jets and have been for some time now. The Stars have had a strong group of centres, but they have never been able to put it all together. They are also without John Klingberg who is out with an injury. However, they do have Corey Perry so everyone should keep their heads up.
