The Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights are facing off in a critical game three tonight in Las Vegas. The Jets are looking to re-take home-ice advantage while the Golden Knights are looking to hold onto it with everything they have.
The Golden Knights made the adjustments they needed to for game two including taking away the middle of the ice. This is what the Nashville Predators did to the Jets more than once in their series to great success. The Golden Knights replicating this strategy is bad news for the Jets as Marc-Andre Fleury is more stable then Pekka Rinne.
The Jets can still win though. They have better scoring depth and they can still speed the game up to fit their style of play. If teams can dictate the speed the Jets play at, the Jets can also dictate the speed that other teams play at and they need to do that. If they turn this game into a track meet, they are setting themselves up for success as they are the faster team.
Prediction:
We all fall asleep before the game is over.
