Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Vegas Golden Knights

Time: 7:00 PM CST

Television: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

After the great goalie conspiracy game of Tuesday (granted, I was against starting Michael Hutchinson), the Winnipeg Jets are returning to their tried and true starter Connor Hellebuyck to face the Western Conference leading Vegas Golden Knights. According to media, no other changes are expected.

The Golden Knights are the anti-expansion team in a lot of ways. They are good right off the bat and they are making it hard to see them as anything other than a contender. However, the Jets have only played them in Vegas and it seems that the saying “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” is true for teams that go there to play. It will be interesting to see how things go for the Jets against the Golden Knights now that the Golden Knights are on their turf.

Things to Watch:

Vegas Golden Knights:

While their best get in the Expansion Draft was Jonathan Marchessault, William Karlsson has turned into a revelation for them. While he might never have a season like this again for the Golden Knights, his goal scoring ability has been a huge buoy for them and has helped them win games many times throughout the season.

Winnipeg Jets:

The Jets will want to try to defend by pushing offensively if they are up late in the game. Ray Ferraro mentioned this during Tuesday’s game. This is just as important tonight as the Golden Knights have shown that they have offensive weapons that can hurt you.

Prediction:

Jets win because I want them to.
