Winnipeg Jets notes:

Mark Scheifele and Team Canada are set to take on Team Russia in the 2017 IIHF Men’s World Championship semifinal. Puck drop will be at 8:15 am CST. [TSN]

Jets’ prospect Logan Stanley returned to the line-up last night as his Windsor Spitfires defeated the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-2 in the first game of the Memorial Cup tournament. Stanley was held scoreless in the victory. [Sportsnet]

Around the NHL:

The Nashville Predators were dealt a huge blow as it appears Ryan Johansen will miss the remainder of the NHL playoffs due to a thigh injury that required surgery. [On the Forecheck]

Despite missing the services of Justin Schultz, Patric Hornqvist, Bryan Rust, and Tom Kuhnhackl, the Pittsburgh Penguins were able to outlast the Ottawa Senators, tying the Eastern Conference Final at 2-2. Oh, and they also decided to make a goalie change. No big deal. [Puck Daddy]
