Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Detroit Red Wings

The Jets look to build off of their dominant win on Sunday.

The Winnipeg Jets are coming off of a dominant win against the Ottawa Senators while the Detroit Red Wings are coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Montreal Canadiens. They will be trying to bounce back from not only the embarrassing loss, but the overall poor performance in their series against the Habs.

The Winnipeg Jets are sticking to a tried and true formula of having Connor Hellebuyck start. Mathieu Perreault is back on the fourth line as Kyle Connor returns after a one game absence because of injury. The Jets are changing their winning lineup, but to a lineup that has also won so there’s that.

On defence, nothing has changed. Paul Maurice floated the idea of possibly sending Tucker Poolman down to the AHL to get him some playing time instead of simply playing him in the NHL, so that is something to watch for in the near future.

Game time is at 6:30 CST.
