Tobias Enstrom will not return to the game

Tobias Enstrom left during the first period against the San Jose Sharks with an apparent body injury and will not return tonight. He sustained the injury in the first period when he lost an edge and crashed into the boards awkwardly. He returned for part of the second, but seems to be done for the night now.

This is another blow to a team that cannot remain healthy. The major downside is Tyler Myers has been out since November 11 with a lower body injury and personal matters. There is no talk about when he will return to the team. This means that the Jets defence boasts a likely combination of Mark Stuart, Ben Chiarot, and Paul Postma. The All Star break cannot come soon enough and players cannot return to health soon enough.

Look for the Jets to clear two roster spots, probably by placing players on IR, to call up players to travel with the team to Chicago tomorrow.
