Heritage Classic Weekend: What is happening and where to watch it

If you do not have tickets to the Heritage Classic, there are still ways you can enjoy the weekend!

Saturday:

Alumni Game

Do you miss the old Winnipeg Jets? Do you pine for the days of Teemu Selanne and Tie Domi? Have no fear, even if you could not buy tickets to the Alumni Game because they were tied to the Heritage Classic, you can still watch your old favourites toil against the mortal enemy of Wayne Gretzky’s Edmonton Oilers on Sportsnet at 3:00 pm CST. Hopefully the ice will be good for the old guys and the Jets play a good game.

Sunday:

Heritage Classic

This should be good if only because Connor McDavid is really fun and so are Patrik Laine and Nikolaj Ehlers. You should watch this game and enjoy it for no other reason than hockey is fun and this game should be fun. Don’t let snarkastic people like me take that away from you. If you are not going to the game than you simply tune into Sportsnet at 2:00 pm CST and magical hockey things will happen.

If you are lucky enough to go to the game, the high is supposed to be 9 degrees but please dress warmly and drink hot chocolate for me. Also, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released information on how to get to the game. However you plan on getting there, plan to leave home early because it can bottleneck pretty good on Bishop Grandin and Pembina Highway.
