GDT: Jets Fly into Buffalo

The Jets are in Buffalo to take on the Sabres. How many goals will be scored tonight? How many by Kane? Do the Jets really need another dude named Stewart? Why is there still a Kane being traded to Boston rumour out there? Can the Sabres please wear those hideous third jerseys tonight?

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight the Jets (11-9-3) road trip continues in Buffalo where they're set to take on the Sabres (6-13-2).

It's just so easy to pick on the Sabres, isn't it? Jokes like these just come so easy:

It's pretty safe to assume that the Jets are going to win this one. So safe that I'm phoning it in on this game day thread because I don't think I can tell you anything about the Sabres that you don't already know and/or assume.

The game is being broadcast on Sportsnet 1.

Players to Watch

Evander Kane had two goals last night knocking a few more off his 50 goal target. It'll be interesting to see if he can get a few more tonight against the Sabres.

On the other end of the ice, there's Chris Stewart. Sportsnet reported this today that is just a wee bit interesting:

I'm not saying it's going to happen. I'm not saying it isn't. I'm just saying it's a thought that's been put out there in the great wide world and on a night that the Jets play the team he currently plays for, he's worth watching.
