Waived: Eric O'Dell

Eric O'Dell has been waived by the Winnipeg Jets

Eric O`Dell is now healthy and has been waived according to Renaud Lavoie.

If he is unclaimed by 11:00 am CST, he will most likely be assigned to the St. John's IceCaps. This move has no cap implications as O'Dell is on a two-way contract. The only other player expected to go down to St. John's is Patrice Cormier, once he is healthy.

Eric O`Dell should re-assume the number one centre job on the farm. If injuries hit, he is most likely the first call-up option. O'Dell was very strong possession wise with the Jets last year as a call-up. He had 7 points in 30 games with the Jets, playing mostly in the bottom six. He had 42 points in 42 games on the IceCaps.

Once healthy, Patrice Cormier will most likely be taken off IR and waived as O'Dell was today.
