Game #25 Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Colorado Avalanche

The Winnipeg Jets entered a Friday afternoon contest with the Minnesota Wild kinda dejected. Nothing seemed to be going right for them. A few tweaks here, a few readjustments there, and a goalie change changed their luck, as they pulled off a 3-1 win. 30 hours later, the Jets are asked to do it again, this time against the Colorado Avalanche. The Avs beat the Jets in their home rink last week, and this gives them a shot at redemption.

Catch the game at 9 pm CST on SN and TSN 1290.

Keys to the game: Winnipeg Jets:

The winning formula was on full display Friday afternoon, and if the Jets stick to the game plan that made them successful then, then they can pull out a win against the Avs. Although, solid goal tending from Micheal Hutchinson will be paramount, as it's assumed he'll be between the pipes due to Connor Hellebuyck's appearance the day before.

Keys to the game: Colorado Avalanche:

The Avalanche will need to tap into what made them sucessful against the Jets last week. Solid goal tending from Semyon Varlamov helped propel the Avs to that win, and he’ll need to be sharp again. The Avs are coming off a 5-3 loss against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday, and the team will be well rested going into this contest.

Player to boo mercilessly:

Andrew Agozzino has been recalled from the Avs farm team, and will likely suit up on Saturday.

Prediction:

The Jets will make it 0.66 on the road trip by defeating the Avalanche 4-2.
