Might as well kick things off in the new fanpost section. First of all, thanks to whatever nameless entity(ies) got this site started. I suspect Cara is in there somewhere but without bylines it’s just a guess. The old Arctic Ice was still kicking but its days were likely numbered, so it’s good to have access to what will hopefully be something long term.
As for hockey and the Jets, halfway through August, about a month to training camp, it’s looking like running it back (with a few changes) is being etched in stone. I can feel myself gravitating to a position that the individual games and the season aren’t going to mean much to me. The real points of interest for me will be how the players from L.A. do in Winnipeg, the vibes I get from them as to their intentions of staying vs. leaving, ditto Nino, how Perfetti does (a hattrick or two would certainly spice up individual games), how any prospect defensemen do if and when they get a chance (or will we be relentlessly Pionked all season), how the kids do on the farm and with their junior/college teams. I’ll be mostly watching with an eye to the future, with fingers crossed that nobody gets a legacy contract that cripples the team either cap-wise or culture-wise.
