AIH 20416 Episode 38: Blues, Penguins & NHL Draft

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Hello everyone! @sliiiiip and @PhilipAIver are going to the NHL Draft in Buffalo on June 24th - 25th. We (Ed. note: i.e. Alan) just wanted to brag a little.

As the Stanley Cup Playoffs and 2015-16 season move closer to a conclusion, we brought on two guests to talk about the status of their teams at the moment.

First, Laura Astorian (@hildymac), Site Manager of SB Nation's St. Louis Game Time, joined us once again to discuss the end to the Blues NHL season, and what could potentially happen during the offseason to help St. Louis take that next step in 2016-17. We also talked about Ken Hitchcock's one-year contract extension and what this could mean for the future of coaching in St. Louis.

Also, did I mention that @sliiiiip and @PhilipAIver are going to the NHL Draft this year?

Then, we FINALLY managed to find ourselves a guest to talk about the Pittsburgh Penguins! Mike Necciai (@Michael29Angelo), Pittsburgh Penguins writer for The Hockey Writers (@TheHockeyWriter) joined us to talk about what has made the Penguins so successful during this postseason, as well as what the future holds for Pittsburgh, especially considering the potential for upcoming salary cap issues.

One thing that we didn't really talk about when speaking with Mike was about how @sliiiiip and @PhilipAIver are going to the NHL Draft this year. Maybe next time.
