GameDay Thread: Winnipeg Jets vs Minnesota Wild

Fred Greenslade-USA TODAY Sports

We have some hockey to watch! The Winnipeg Jets open their preseason at home versus the Minnesota Wild. The Winnipeg Jets will be dressing a fair share of top end talent and top prospects. The Wild are dressing a load of NHLers too, but most may as well be nameless AHLers. It is game one. This is largely a learning experience for youth. Let's see what the kids can do.

For those unaware, the game will be available on TSN3 tonight

Possible (likely) Line-ups:

Winnipeg Jets

Andrew Ladd - Bryan Little - Dustin Byfuglien

Nic Petan - Adam Lowry - Michael Frolik

Nikolaj Ehlers - Mathieu Perreault - Chris Thorburn

Carl Klingberg - John Albert - Anthony Peluso

Tobias Enstrom - Zach Bogosian

Josh Morrissey - Keaton Ellerby

Ben Chiarot - Brenden Kichton

Ondrej Pavelec

Michael Hutchison

Calgary Flames

Nino Niederreiter - Charlie Coyle - Justin Fontaine

Jason Zucker - Tyler Graovac - Jordan Schroeder

Mihael Keränen - Cody Almond - Brett Bulmer

Curt Gogol - Brett Sutter - Kurtis Gabriel

Zach Mitchell

Gustav Olofsson - Stu Bickel

Justin Falk - Jonathon Blum

Keith Ballard - Christian Folin

Player to Watch

After a strong showing in Penticton, all eyes will be on Nikolaj Ehlers. Ehlers will be lining up along side Mathieu Perreault - a player that could end up centring him this season should he make the Jets. How will the kid look playing alongside and against men? Don't be surprised if he looks just fine.
