The Winnipeg Jets open the season on a three game road trip, with the first game coming against the Arizona Coyotes (previously known as the Phoenix Coyotes and the Winnipeg Jets) on October 9. This game you will find on TSNJets, along with 58 other games that they will play in. All other games will be broadcast on various other channels under the Rogers banner.
Their first chance to play for the Conference III belt comes at the home opener, where they will host the Nashville Predators on October 17. *edit: after consulting with the Conference III manager J.R. Lind, a battle for the belt can only happen if the Colorado Avalanche have lost it.* The Jets will close their season against the Calgary Flames (again), in an afternoon affair (2:00 pm) on April 11, the last day of regular season play for the NHL.
The Jets will play in only 9 back to backs this year, including their second and third games of the year against the San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Kings. The Jets only play in 5 afternoon games this year, all on the weekend. There is no mid-morning game on Black Friday for the Jets.
There are two in-season breaks for the NHL and the Jets, the first being the Christmas break from December 24-26 and the second being the All-Star Break from January 22-26.
With the NHL's new broadcasting deal with Rogers, you have to think a bit more before watching the Jets play. Here's where you can find them. Note: I am assuming that the Jets HNIC games will be on CBC ATM, but check the game day previews for any changes.
