Winnipeg Jets at Boston Bruins Morning Skate: When do the Jets win their first game?

The Winnipeg Jets secured their first victory of the 2011-2012 season when they defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins by a 2-1 margin on October 17, 2011. It was their second home game of the year after a disappointing home opener against a Canadian team. This season, the script is sounding eerily similar, as the Jets play next at home against Pittsburgh on Friday the 25th, with back to back road games against the Bruins and Capitals in the mean time.

So the question is: when will the Jets notch their first win of the year?

The display put forth on Saturday afternoon would suggest that it could be a while, as the wheels completely fell off the Jets bus as time went on. One could attest this to a lack of fitness and rust after a lengthy offseason, but the Senators endured the exact same conditions, and were on the road to boot.

The team is bound to improve with time, and youngsters like Evander Kane, Alexander Burmistrov and Mark Scheifele should have plenty of gas in the tank to make up for those who will take a while to get into shape (Nik Antropov).

If I had to bet on which game the Jets first taste sweet, sweet victory it would be at home against the Islanders on Sunday, when the Isles play their 3rd road game in 4 days.

So what's your opinion? Are the Jets winning today? Is this an 0-48 year?
