As has been the case all season, Alexander Burmistrov's name has been synonymous with trade whispers. Is he meeting his coaches expectations? Has management had it with his attitude? What could he fetch on the open market?
Well today could be D-Day for Burmistrov's future with the Winnipeg Jets.
Picking up where he left off on Monday, the Ottawa Sun's Bruce "Evgeni Malkin to the Kings" Garrioch is reporting (out of his market) that the Jets are shopping the young Russian throughout the course of the day.
The Jets are shopping Alexander Burmistrov. He could move today. #Tradetracker

Of course, this is little more than fodder at this point. Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press has already quelled some of the speculation created by Garrioch by reporting that the Jets' aren't shopping Burmistrov but are rather fielding offers for his services.
Just to be clear - I'm not hearing #nhljets are shopping Burmistrov but that others are inquiring #bn

Burmistrov's addition to the rumour mill has inserted the first Jets' player to TSN's Top-25 trade bait, which is the most productive thing that's happened to the team since last Tuesday.
