NHL Trade Deadline Open Thread and Live Chat

Hey all! Welcome to Arctic Ice Hockey's second annual NHL Trade Deadline live chat! Feel free to spend your work day with us as we update you on all of today's transactions.

As it currently stands, it's difficult to get a read on what the Winnipeg Jets might try to accomplish before the trade freeze takes place at 3:00PM EST this afternoon. On one hand, they have expiring UFA contracts in Ron Hainsey, Grant Clitsome and Nik Antropov which they might look to offload in order to continue their build of a perennial contender for year's to come. On the other hand, the Jets' franchise hasn't made the NHL postseason since 2007 where they were swept in four games by the New York Rangers. There may be some pressure on Jets' General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff to drink the Jay Feaster Kool-Aid, shave his head and just "go for it!".

In any event, there are still plenty of alluring names who could be on the move today so sit back, relax and be as unproductive as we plan to be today.
