As the Winnipeg Jets prepare to play their last game of the 2024-25 regular season, General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff got a jump on his off-season To Do list when he came to an agreement with Alex Iafallo on a contract extension.
Coming off a contract that paid him $4M per year, the veteran has inked a 3 year extension that will pay him $3.67M a season with the Jets and give him & his family some long-term security.
The 31 year old winger joined the True North franchise two seasons ago when he came over from Los Angeles with teammates Gabriel Vilardi and Rasmus Kupari. Since then, Iafallo has become a useful tool for Scott Arniel and the rest of the coaching staff, as his style of play allows them to move the American up & down the line up.

Well, since Iafallo has excelled filling in for Vilardi, Winnipeg Jets’ fans have been calling for Chevy to re-sign the veteran winger….and now the GM has gotten it done. Congratulations Alex….glad you are staying in Manitoba for another 3 campaigns.
