The Winnipeg Jets are playing Columbus Blue Jackets who just happen to be one of the worst teams in the NHL, so the Jets should be in a good place to win again. They have played two games since a long layoff and have played all three without their starting goalie.
The Jets have been without Connor Hellebuyck since the All Star Break due to illness and it appears that he is out again tonight. There are some major illnesses still going around and it is very possible that Hellebuyck has been felled by one of them. However, the Jets have been holding on and more without Hellebuyck, although they will surely welcome him back with open arms when they are healthy.
The Jets are also at a point where their lines don’t matter much anymore because they enter the blender at some point. Just note that Pierre-Luc Dubois is the team’s first line centre and Mark Scheifele is the second line centre. Nikolaj Ehlers is the team’s best forward and is often not treated as such.
Anyways, the game is about to start so don’t start a new job mid-season especially with a steep learning curve.
